Dossier templates — the six blueprints

Which templates you see is released by Picasi per Workspace. If none is there yet, the page says: No template has been released for your Workspace yet.

Note

The template names come from the German source version and are translated for each language. The exact wording in your Workspace may differ slightly from the names below; the guiding question identifies each template reliably.

Period

All six templates evaluate the last 30 days by default. You can change the period when creating the dossier.

A period you choose yourself applies in full, even if the monitored source published nothing in the second half: silence at the end stays visible that way. Only if you choose no period does Picasi pull the window to the most recent Update.

The upper limit is 183 days. Choose more and Picasi evaluates the last 183 days and says so in the form:

The period spans n days. The last 183 days are evaluated, more does not fit into one analysis.

Language

A template exists per language. The dossier is written in the language of its template — not in the language of your interface. In the create dialog you pick the language at the top; only languages with released templates are offered.

Which sections a dossier has is set by its template. What the individual blocks show is described under Blocks of a dossier.

The templates in detail

Source dossier

One monitored source in profile: on which channels it speaks, about what, and how it stands next to your own sources. The template requires exactly one monitored source; your own sources are put beside it by the comparison on its own, gathered into one column.

Source duel

Two sources directly side by side: who publishes how much, where the topics overlap, where one stays silent. Exactly two sources, no more and no fewer.

Topic radar

Which topics dominate the period, which one rises and which falls. Also shows the unused topic space — topics nobody published anything on during the period.

Channel dossier

How publications spread across LinkedIn, YouTube, newsletter and website, and how that mix has shifted.

Change dossier

The period against the one before: what has grown, what has shrunk, who was active when and how much.

Media agenda

What the monitored trade media and associations write about. Requires at least one source tag, because only that says which of your sources are media.

Caution

This template shows what the monitored media write about. It does not count how often a brand is mentioned — for that it would have to search outside your watch list.
