Set up buffer integration

What this is about

You connect your Buffer account to Picasi. After that, generated LinkedIn posts can be sent directly to Buffer from your inbox or from scheduled posts—without having to copy them manually.

Buffer is currently the available social scheduling tool. Additional integrations can be added upon request.

What you need

  • A Buffer account linked to a LinkedIn profile or a LinkedIn company page
  • A Buffer API token (can be created at buffer.com → Settings → Developers)

How to proceed

  1. Open the scheduling integration

In the navigation bar, click Settings → Social Scheduling or Settings → Buffer Integration.

  2. Enter API token

Enter your Buffer API token in the corresponding field.

  3. Select LinkedIn Profile

After entering the token, Picasi will display the available LinkedIn profiles from your Buffer account. Select the profile or page through which posts should be published.

  4. Set Default Delay

Specify how many hours in advance posts should be sent to Buffer. Buffer will then schedule them in its own queue. Common values: 1 (1 hour), 24 (1 day), 48 (2 days).

  5. Select publishing mode

    • Draft: Posts are saved as drafts in Buffer—you must manually approve them there.
    • Automatic: Posts are scheduled directly into Buffer’s queue and published without further confirmation.
  6. Connect

Click Connect. The connection is active immediately.

Result

In the next LinkedIn post report, you’ll see the option to send posts directly to Buffer. For scheduled reports with LinkedIn posts, enable Buffer forwarding in the report settings.
