When does Picasi warn about an allowance running out?
Short answer
Picasi sends the Workspace owner an email as soon as an allowance is 90 percent used up or only a small remainder is left. Per allowance it comes at most once within the billing period.
Details
There are three warnings, one per allowance:
| Subject | Applies to |
|---|---|
| Your Update allowance is running low | Updates |
| Your report allowance is running low | Reports |
| Your dossier allowance is running low | Dossiers |
Each one states consumption, limit and remainder, and links to the dashboard.
When it is triggered
As soon as one of the two conditions applies:
- 90 percent of the allowance is used up, or
- only a few are left: 50 Updates, 5 reports, 5 dossiers
The second case matters for small allowances, where 90 percent would come too late.
How often it comes
Once per allowance per billing period. On Basic, Pro and Premium that means once in the calendar month. On the Trial plan it comes once, because the allowance does not reset there.
Who receives it
Only the Workspace owner. Members and admins do not get it.
What you can do afterwards
- Change plan — the way to do that is in Change plan — upgrade or downgrade
- Check consumption — which channels deliver the most Updates is shown on the statistics page: View the Workspace statistics
- Switch off channels that bring little of relevance: Can I disable a single channel without deleting the entire source?
- Pause scheduled reports you do not read
If you did not get a warning
The warning belongs to the reminder emails. If you unsubscribed from that category, you no longer receive the allowance warning either. How to check and undo that is in How do I unsubscribe from reminder emails?.
