What It’s All About

You curate a selection of updates where engaging with a comment on LinkedIn makes sense—for example, posts from your competitors to which you can add a well-reasoned insight, a counterpoint, or a follow-up question.

This is a form of strategic visibility: instead of publishing your own posts, you contribute comments to relevant posts by others.

Here’s how to do it

  1. Open your Inbox

    Click Inbox in the navigation bar. If necessary, switch to the Saved folder.

  2. Start a conversation

    Click the Conversation Starter button at the top of the Inbox.

  3. Generate

    Click Generate in the modal. Picasi selects three to five updates from the visible ones that are suitable for engagement based on their content.

Result

Under Reports, a Conversation Starter report will appear, featuring zero to five selected updates and a brief explanation of why each one would be a good starting point for a comment. The original links are included so you can go directly to the post.

A maximum of one suggestion appears per source—even if a source has published multiple suitable updates. This ensures that the suggestions come from different sources and that you don’t concentrate engagement opportunities on the same source.

If the report contains no entries, no update has met the quality threshold. This is not an error. It may be helpful to consider a longer time period or enable more sources.
