Edit source

What this is about

You’re updating the name, URL, or description of a source. This is necessary, for example, if a website has moved or if you want to make its internal name easier to read.

Here’s how to do it

  1. Open the source

Click Sources in the navigation bar and select the source you want to edit.

  2. Open Edit

Click the edit icon or the Edit menu item in the source.

  3. Update fields

Change the name, URL, or description as needed. You can also edit tags here.

  4. Mark as your own source (optional)

If the source is your own LinkedIn, YouTube, or RSS feed, check the box next to This source belongs to us. A small star will then appear next to the source’s name in the source list.

This selection controls the Only Our Own Sources / Exclude Our Own Sources filter in the inbox, the source list, and scheduled reports. It also serves as the basis for the visibility share and the momentum comparison in the Monthly Market Review. Without this marking, your own posts will appear in the report’s competition table.

  5. Save

Click Save. The changes take effect immediately.

Result

The source now displays the new name and the updated URL. If you changed the URL, Picasi will not trigger a new automatic channel discovery—existing channels remain unchanged. In this case, you’ll need to add new channels manually.

If you’ve marked the source as your own, Picasi will now highlight it with a star in the source list. Reports that distinguish between “us” and “competition” will take this marking into account starting with the next run.
