What this is about

The statistics page shows twelve months in a row: how many Updates came in, how many reports and dossiers you produced, and what your source inventory looks like. That answers two questions the dashboard leaves open: where the allowance goes and whether usage is rising.

Here’s how to do it

  1. Open the statistics

Click Workspace settings at the bottom of the sidebar and then Statistics.

  2. Read the four tiles

The top row shows current consumption against the limit: Updates, reports, dossiers, plus sources and active channels. For the Updates it says Updates this month or Updates, overall allowance, depending on the plan.

  3. Look at the monthly series

Three charts, twelve months each. In the reports chart, summaries, feedbacks and lists are stacked, so you can see the mix.

Hover over a bar to see the exact figures.

  4. Open the figures as a table

Below each chart, Show monthly values unfolds a table. Handy for copying into minutes or a plan.

  5. Check sources and channels

At the very bottom you see how many sources and channels you have, how many of them are active, and the same split per channel type.

When the Update allowance gets tight

Read the Updates per month series together with the Channels per type table. A month that stands out almost always has a trigger: a new channel with a high frequency, or a source that suddenly publishes a lot.

Channels that deliver little of relevance can be switched off instead of changing the plan: Can I disable a single channel without deleting the entire source?.

Result

You know how usage developed over the year and where the Updates come from.
