Copy PNG or SVG from a report to the clipboard

Short answer

In every report with graphic elements (e.g. the Monthly Market Review or a Matrix export) you’ll find the buttons Copy PNG to clipboard and Copy SVG to clipboard above each graphic. A click copies the image directly to the clipboard — no download step in between.

Details

Copy PNG

A click on Copy PNG to clipboard places the graphic as a PNG image on your clipboard. You can then paste it straight into Slack, an email, Notion, or a slide deck (Cmd/Ctrl+V).

Copy SVG

Copy SVG to clipboard does not copy the rendered image but the SVG source code as text. Useful when you want to embed the SVG in design tools (Figma, Illustrator) or in an HTML page.

Clipboard not available

Some browsers block clipboard access for security reasons — for instance in private mode or without HTTPS. In that case Picasi shows the notice Clipboard not available — please download instead. Use the download buttons next to it as a fallback.

Where these buttons appear

  • Monthly Market Review: above every KPI graphic and topic bar.
  • Matrix export: in the export popover, when you want to pull a Matrix out as an image.
  • Other reports: currently only Monthly Market Review and Matrix export — more report types will follow.

If this doesn’t help

If the buttons are missing in a report where you expected them, the report was probably generated before the copy actions were introduced. Trigger the report again or wait for the next scheduled run — the buttons will then appear.

If a click has no effect even though the buttons are visible: check the clipboard permission for picasi.app in your browser settings.
