Change plan - upgrade or downgrade
What this is about
You are switching from one plan to another—either to a higher-tier plan (upgrade) or a lower-tier plan (downgrade). The timing and payment processing differ depending on the direction of the change.
Upgrade
An upgrade takes effect immediately. Your new limits apply from the moment of the upgrade.
Payment method for upgrades:
- Credit card: Proration — you only pay for the remaining days of the current billing period
- SEPA Direct Debit: The difference is due on the next billing date
Downgrade
A downgrade takes effect only at the end of the current billing period. Until then, you retain all features and limits of your current plan. There is no refund for the remaining term.
How to proceed
-
Open Billing
Click on Settings → Billing in the navigation bar.
-
Select a different plan
View the available plans and click Upgrade or Downgrade next to the desired plan.
-
Select billing period
For a new subscription, you can choose between monthly and annual billing. When changing plans within a current subscription, the billing period generally remains the same.
-
Confirm
Confirm the plan change. For upgrades, you will be redirected to Stripe depending on your payment method.
Result
After an upgrade, new limits take effect immediately. After a downgrade, the previous limits remain in effect until the end of the current billing period; after that, the limits of the new plan apply.
