Why do my posts only end up as drafts in Buffer?
Short Answer
If Picasi sends posts to Buffer as drafts instead of scheduling them, it’s because the export setting in Picasi is set to As Draft. You can change this in the “Send to Buffer” step.
Details
When you generate a LinkedIn post in Picasi and send it to Buffer, you have two options:
- Save as Draft: The post goes into the draft queue in Buffer. You’ll need to schedule it manually from there.
- Schedule immediately: Picasi suggests a time—you can accept it or adjust it. The post goes directly into the Buffer queue.
Adjust the setting:
When you click Send to Buffer, a confirmation dialog opens. There you’ll see the Schedule immediately option next to a suggested date. Select this mode if you want the post to go directly into the queue.
If you don’t see the option:
Check whether the Buffer integration is active in the workspace and whether your Buffer account is linked to the LinkedIn profile you’re scheduling for. You can check this under Settings → Integrations → Buffer.
Note:
Buffer drafts do not expire—they remain in the drafts section until you schedule or delete them. This means no posts will be lost if you work in draft mode first.
