Can Picasi receive e-mail newsletters directly?

Short Answer

Yes. Picasi can receive email newsletters directly. Each newsletter source is assigned its own Picasi address, to which you can forward the newsletter or subscribe.

Details

When you create a new source and select Email Newsletter as the channel type, Picasi automatically generates an ingest address—a unique email address in the format inbox-xxxx@picasi.app.

How to use the address:

There are two ways to send newsletters to this address:

  • Subscribe directly: Enter the Picasi ingest address as the recipient email in your newsletter provider’s settings. From then on, every new issue will land directly in your Picasi inbox.
  • Set up forwarding: If you receive the newsletter at an existing address, set up automatic forwarding—many email clients and Google Workspace offer this feature.

Which newsletter formats are supported?

Picasi processes HTML and text newsletters. Attachments (PDFs, images) are ignored—only the text portion of the newsletter is delivered to the inbox.

Important: The ingest address is intended for receiving only, not for replying. Replies sent to this address will not be delivered.

What if there is no forwarding option?

Some newsletter providers only allow a single recipient address. In this case, you can enter the Picasi address directly as the subscription email or set up a forwarding rule via an email alias in your inbox.
