Can Picasi receive email newsletters directly?

Short Answer

Yes. Picasi can receive email newsletters directly. Each newsletter source is assigned its own Picasi address, to which you can forward the newsletter or subscribe.

Details

When you create a new source and select Email Newsletter as the channel type, Picasi automatically generates an ingest address—a unique email address in the format inbox-xxxx@picasi.app.

Here’s how to use the address:

There are two ways to send newsletters to this address:

  • Subscribe directly: Enter the Picasi ingest address as the recipient email address with the newsletter provider. From now on, every new issue will land directly in your Picasi inbox.
  • Set up forwarding: If you receive the newsletter at an existing email address, set up automatic forwarding—many email clients and Google Workspace offer this feature.

Which newsletter formats are supported?

Picasi processes HTML and text newsletters. Attachments (PDFs, images) are ignored—only the text portion of the newsletter is delivered to the inbox.

Important: The ingest address is intended only for receiving emails, not for replying. Replies sent to this address will not be delivered.

What if there’s no forwarding option?

Some newsletter providers only allow a single recipient address. In this case, you can enter the Picasi address directly as the subscription email or set up forwarding via an email alias in your mailbox.
