Set colors and logo
What this is about
Three colors are enough, and a CI manual almost always provides them. The form is the same for Workspace and agency; only the way there differs.
| Brand | Way |
|---|---|
| Of a Workspace | Workspace settings → Brand settings |
| Of an agency | Agency → Brand |
Set the colors
-
Choose the signal color
The main accent. It colors headlines and key figures as well as bars and rules. Required, as a hex value like
#0057b8. -
Decide on text and surface color
Both are optional. If you do not switch on Set the text color yourself, Picasi uses near-black. Without Set the surface color yourself, graphics stay on white.
-
Category colors, if needed
Without expert mode Picasi derives four category colors from your signal color. With Set the four category colors yourself (expert mode) you set them individually — then all four.
-
Check
Click Check colors. Picasi checks the combination for readability and answers with These colors pass all readability checks. or with a list of findings.
-
Save
Click Save brand colors. Only what passes the check is saved.
What the check demands
It does not check taste but readability: whether text on the surface can still be read and whether the category colors differ enough. The findings stand there as whole sentences and say which combination is the problem.
Upload logos
Picasi accepts two files: Logo for light surfaces and Logo for dark surfaces (optional).
-
Choose the file
Drag the file into the Choose a file or drop it here field or pick it there.
-
Wait for the confirmation
Picasi saves immediately and says Logo saved. A click on Save is not needed.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Formats | SVG preferred, PNG allowed |
| Size | at most 1 MB |
| Where it appears | on your PDF files |
Remove deletes a logo after a confirmation. If the Workspace then has no logo of its own, the agency’s applies.
Handing your own colors back
If the Workspace belongs to an agency and you have set colors of your own, those apply and not the agency’s. Switch off own colors at the top of the colors section hands them back.
The confirmation names what applies afterwards — Switch off your own colors so your agency’s colors apply again? or, without an agency, so the Picasi palette applies again?. After confirming, Picasi says Your own colors are off, the inherited ones apply.
The logo stays untouched. A Workspace can carry the agency’s colors and a logo of its own — the order decides per feature.
Result
After saving, new graphics, dossier PDFs and Matrix exports carry your colors. If These settings are saved but not delivered yet stands on the agency’s brand page, no Workspace of the agency is on Pro or Premium.
