Add channel manually
What this is about
You manually add a channel to a source. This is useful if you know the direct URL of a LinkedIn profile, a YouTube channel, or an RSS feed and want to specifically include it—regardless of whether automatic discovery has found it.
Supported channel types
Picasi automatically detects the type when you enter the URL:
- LinkedIn company profile (e.g.,
https://www.linkedin.com/company/muster-ag) - LinkedIn personal profile (e.g.,
https://www.linkedin.com/in/max-mustermann) - YouTube channel
- Website with RSS or Atom feed
- Email newsletter (your own Picasi inbox address)
How to proceed

Open source
Click on Sources in the navigation bar and select the desired source.

Open Channels
Click on Channels in the source or navigate to its channel overview.

Add New Channel
Click on Add New Channel.

Enter URL and Name
- URL: The direct channel URL, e.g.,
https://www.linkedin.com/company/muster-ag. - Name: Optional, but helpful for distinguishing between multiple channels from the same source.
- Description: Optional.

Save
Click Save. Picasi validates the URL and creates the channel.
Result
The channel is assigned to the source and is active. New content will be collected starting with the next retrieval cycle (every 15 minutes).
