Create and configure tag
What this is about
You create a new tag and configure it so that Picasi automatically applies it to relevant updates. Tags are the primary way to categorize updates and filter them specifically in your inbox.
Tag Types
There are three types of tags, depending on what you want to tag:
- Source tags — assigned to sources to group them
- Channel tags — assigned to channels
- Update tags — automatically applied by the AI to incoming updates
Most teams mainly need update tags because these have the most direct impact on inbox filtering.
How to proceed
-
Open Tagging
Click Settings in the navigation bar and then Tags, or go directly to Settings → Tags.
-
Create a new tag
Click Add New Tag.
-
Enter basic information
- Name: A short, unique name, e.g.,

-
Enter AI tagging description
This is the most important field for update tags. Provide a detailed description here of when an update should receive this tag. The more specific you are, the more accurately the AI will work.
Example for tag
Produktneuheiten:> Assign this tag if the update contains a new feature, a product release, a changelog entry, or a new product announcement from the company. Do not assign for general company announcements without a direct product reference.
-
Set Confidence Threshold
The confidence value determines how certain the AI must be when assigning a tag. With a low value (e.g., 0.5), Picasi tags more liberally; with a high value (e.g., 0.8), it tags only when the AI is very certain.
-
Save
Click Save. The tag is now active and will be applied to new incoming updates.
Result
New updates that match the AI description will automatically receive this tag. Existing updates will not be tagged retroactively.
