View a dossier and download the PDF

What this is about

You look at a finished dossier, check what it rests on and download it as a PDF.

How to do it

  1. Select a dossier

Click an entry in the list on the left. The Preview appears on the right — the same layout that gets printed.

  2. Narrow the list (optional)

Above the list sit two filters: All templates narrows to one template, Search titles to a search term. Clear filters resets both.

  3. Check the data basis

Switch to the Data basis tab at the top. It states what the dossier rests on: period, number of sources, filters set, language. The same details appear in the PDF.

  4. Jump into the Inbox

Below the data basis, Show these updates in the Inbox leads to exactly the updates the dossier came from.

The jump builds the Inbox from the dossier’s snapshot — not from today’s state of the template.

  5. Download the PDF

    Click Download PDF.

Result

The PDF is yours. It contains the same as the preview, including the data basis and the closing block with your sender.

Keyboard control

The list can be driven without a mouse. The keys are listed under Keyboard control in the dossier area.

When the download does not work

If Picasi reports that the PDF could not be produced just now, the error is logged. Try again in a moment.

If the dossier is marked Over the allowance, the PDF is locked until the allowance covers it.
