Connect Picasi with Claude.ai
What this is about
You connect Claude.ai to Picasi via OAuth. Unlike with Claude Code, you don’t need an API token for this—you authorize Claude.ai directly in Picasi using your account. The connection is tied to your personal Picasi account.
Here’s how to do it

Open MCP settings in Claude.ai
Open claude.ai and navigate to Settings or the Tools and Integrations section. Look for the option to add an MCP server.

Enter the MCP URL
Enter the Picasi MCP URL. You can find it under Settings → AI Connections and Tokens in Picasi.

Complete OAuth authorization
Claude.ai will redirect you to Picasi. Log in with your Picasi account (if you haven’t already) and select the scope of access:
- Read-only — Claude can retrieve updates, reports, and sources
- Read and write — Claude can also manage sources and channels
Confirm the authorization.

Check the connection in Picasi
The new OAuth connection is under Personal settings → Connections. It belongs to you and not to a single Workspace, so it does not appear on the Workspace page. You can revoke it there at any time.

Test the connection
Start a new chat in Claude.ai and ask:
What are my latest updates in Picasi?
Several Workspaces in one connection
The connection covers every Workspace you are a member of. In the list under Connections to AI Chats, it shows as All Workspaces.
Claude first asks Picasi which Workspaces exist and names the one it means in every further call. If you have more than one, say in the chat which one you mean:
Which sources are in the Muster AG Workspace?
Without that, Picasi rejects the call and reports the unknown Workspace. Nothing is guessed.
Result
Claude.ai now has access to your Picasi Workspaces. The connection applies to your personal account — other team members must set up the connection themselves.
