The dashboard cards and what they count
The dashboard is made of cards. This page lists them in the order they appear.
The period
Above the cards on the right it says which period their figures refer to. It is the same for all of them.
| Display | Meaning | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Period: last week | Monday to Sunday of the past week | Monday to Wednesday |
| Period: this week so far | Monday to yesterday | from Thursday |
Only full days count. The running day does not.
Where a card names a comparison value (“usually about …”), that is the average of the same weekdays of the four weeks before.
Update of the day
One update from the last 72 hours, with source, age, title and the beginning of the text.
The information sign at the top right names the reason for the pick under Why this update. Possible are:
| Reason | Meaning |
|---|---|
| It fits the focus profile of this Workspace particularly well. | Closeness to the focus profile |
| It belongs to the topic of the week. | The update carries the tag of the card above |
| It is unusual for this source. | The source usually writes about other things |
| Someone on your team saved it. | The update sits in the Saved folder |
| It matches one of your topics: … | A tag from your choice under My topics |
If no reason stands, the card does not appear and the next one moves up. An update that has been on the card once does not come back for 30 days.
The button Open original leads to the source, More from this source into the inbox, filtered to that one source.
Topic of the week
The update tag with the strongest movement in the period.
Below it stands how many sources the updates came from and how many there usually are by this point of the week. If the topic did not appear in the four weeks before, that stands in place of the comparison value. The badge One of your topics appears when the tag comes from your choice.
Show these updates opens the inbox with that tag and that period. Below it are bars per day, split by topic.
Without update tags the card stays empty and points at tagging instead. Owners and admins see the button Set up tagging there.
Week in review
The last full calendar week, with the dates from Monday to Sunday in the header.
Listed are the sources whose activity differs from their usual level, each with a badge:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| More active | more updates than usual |
| Quieter | fewer updates than usual |
| New source | with updates for the first time this week |
Above them stands a sentence about the week. If there was little or nothing stood out, the card says so and names the number of updates and sources.
You and the market
Compares your own sources with the rest. The card needs at least one source with the tick This source belongs to us and at least one without. If either is missing, it says what is missing and offers a button Go to sources.
| Figure | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Your share of all updates | How much of everything that arrived in the period comes from your sources |
| Your sources | Change against the same days of the four weeks before |
| Market median | The same change, as a median across the other sources |
| Line chart | Updates per week over the last twelve full weeks, your own sources against the market median per source |
| The market talks about this, you do not | Topics that several other sources covered in the period and your own did not |
If your own sources published nothing in the period, the card says so and leaves out the topic list.
Latest on LinkedIn
The three most recent LinkedIn posts from your channels, at most 90 days old. The switch All / Own / Others is remembered. Without a LinkedIn channel the card says so and leads to the sources.
Newest sources
The five most recently created sources with the number of their updates. The badge No updates appears when a source is older than three days and has delivered nothing yet.
The three lists
| List | Counts |
|---|---|
| Updates by topic | Updates per update tag |
| Updates by source type | Updates per source tag |
| Updates by source | Updates per source |
Five entries each, the largest. A click on a row opens the inbox with the same narrowing and the same period, so the figure can be found again there.
The allowance tiles
At the very bottom sit three tiles: Updates, Reporting and Dossiers. Each names usage and limit, below it … left or Used up. The bar fills with what is used.
The line underneath names the period of the allowance: This month in the Basic, Pro and Premium plans, Overall in the Trial plan.
Notices above the cards
| Notice | When it appears |
|---|---|
| Since your last visit: | New updates, reports or dossiers since your last visit. If there is nothing, it reads Nothing new since your last visit. |
| Over-usage notice | The update allowance is exceeded, further updates sit in the overflow |
| Dossiers over the allowance | At least one dossier is locked |
| Invitation to a Workspace | Somebody has invited you to another Workspace |
| Your market overview is being prepared … | The cards of the day are not built yet |
