Create a source

What this is about

You add a new website or company to your workspace. Picasi analyzes the specified URL and automatically detects the available public channels—LinkedIn, YouTube, RSS, and newsletter addresses.

How to do it

  1. Open Sources

Click Sources in the left navigation bar.

  2. Start creating

Click Add Source in the top right corner.

  3. Fill in the fields

    • URL: The source’s main website, e.g., https://muster-ag.de. You don’t need to prefix it with https://—Picasi adds that automatically.
    • Name: An internal name that you’ll see in the workspace. Usually the company name.
    • Tags: Optional. Tags help you group sources later and filter them in the inbox.
    • This source belongs to us: Check this box if the source is your own LinkedIn, YouTube, or RSS profile. If the URL matches the team website, Picasi will check this box automatically. This checkbox controls the Only own sources / Exclude Our Own Sources and separates your posts in the Monthly Market Review from the competitor table.
  4. Save

Click Save. Picasi creates the source and starts channel discovery in the background.

Result

The source appears in the source list. Channel discovery runs below it, which takes two to five minutes depending on the website. Once it’s complete, you’ll see the discovered channels on the source’s details page.
