Connect Picasi with ChatGPT

What this is about

You connect ChatGPT to Picasi via OAuth. The process is similar to the Claude.ai integration: you authorize access through your Picasi account without having to manually manage an API token.

Here’s how to do it

1. Open MCP in ChatGPT

   In ChatGPT, navigate to Settings or the Custom Tools section. Look for the option to add an MCP server.

   Note

   MCP support is being rolled out gradually in ChatGPT. If you don’t see the relevant section, it may not be available in your account yet.

2. Enter the MCP URL

   Enter the Picasi MCP URL. You can find it in Picasi under Settings → AI Connections and Tokens.

   https://picasi.app/mcp

   The address is the same for every Workspace. The connection covers every Workspace you are a member of; which one you mean, you say in the chat.

3. Complete OAuth authorization

   ChatGPT will redirect you to Picasi. Log in with your Picasi account and confirm the scope of access (Read or Read and Write).

4. Check connection

   The new connection is in Picasi under Personal settings → Connections, not on the Workspace page: a connection made through the general address belongs to you, not to a single Workspace. You can revoke it there at any time.

5. Test

   Start a new conversation in ChatGPT and ask for updates from Picasi:

   Show me the latest updates in my Picasi Workspace.
